Description

PaintAccess Spot Drops

In the UK where Spot Drops were created, the lights we call "downlights" are called "spotlights". These special little tools are designed to separate downlights from the plasterboard ceiling into which they have been installed.

That allows you to paint around the installation hole for each downlight and then remove them. The result is perfect painting around downlights every time.

The best part is that they can be used again, and again, and again, making them perfect for professional painters and DIY painters alike.

  • The unique spotlight dropping tool
  • Creates space to repair and paint behind the spotlight with out the need to remove
  • Preventing any risk of damage to the ceiling or spot light

FAQ

What are Spot Drops?
Spot Drops were intended to establish a protective barrier surrounding spotlights to facilitate repairs, maintenance, or redecoration work. The separation acts as a barrier to prevent the ceiling from cracking or flaking, the usual cause of damage resulting from heat warping or the piling of paint around the fixtures.
How to use Spot Drops?
Simply place in behind the light to hold the spotlight down enough to paint around without the springs breaking the plaster edges away.
Can you spray paint around downlights?
Spray painting around downlights can lead to paint cracking, heat damage, or sticking to the fittings. Downlights expand with heat, which can cause painted edges to crack or peel over time. Using protective solutions like Spot Drops helps avoid these issues by creating a clean separation between the ceiling and the light fitting.
