Introducing the Dan’s Airless Paint Backpack Sprayer — BackShot — a compact, ergonomic, battery-powered airless paint sprayer designed to make painting faster, easier and genuinely enjoyable.

BackShot was not designed in an office. Dan personally travelled to China to work directly with the factory, test prototypes and fine-tune the product based on real-world use. He painted continuously with it for 5–6 hours to make sure it is comfortable, balanced and practical for everyday jobs — from small touch-ups to full room repaints.

Proudly designed in Australia and manufactured in China, BackShot combines portability, power and durability in a backpack format that feels natural on your back and easy to control in your hands.

Why BackShot is different
BackShot is a true airless sprayer in a backpack form factor. That means you get professional airless finish without hoses across the floor, heavy pumps or extension cords.

It delivers up to 1.4 litres per minute with a 500W motor, giving you smooth, even coverage on walls, ceilings, furniture, fences and trim. The 5-litre integrated paint reservoir lets you work continuously without constantly refilling, while the ergonomic backpack design distributes weight evenly so you can paint for hours without fatigue.

Paint compatibility and tip recommendations
BackShot is compatible with most common paints and coatings including interior wall paints, ceiling paints, primers, Aqua Enamel, oil-based paints, varnishes, chalk paints and wood stains.

For Aqua Enamel: 210, 312, 514, 516
For ceiling paint: 515, 516
For cornices and detail work: 312 with reduced pressure

Always test and adjust viscosity before spraying. Some paints may require light thinning to prevent tails and achieve a perfect fan pattern.

Built for longevity
BackShot is not a disposable tool. It is built with wear-resistant components and durable seals designed to last approximately 3,000–4,000 litres of paint before major service is needed.

It includes lubrication points and comes with Pump Armor and oil so you can properly maintain and store the pump between uses, extending its life for years of reliable performance.
