Surface preparation:
- Ensure the surface is clean and dry, free from grease, dirt and dust. All flaking, peeling and loose material must be removed. Cracks and holes should be filled and sanded to an even finish. Sand glossy surfaces to a dull finish and remove dust.
- If mould is present, clean the surface with household bleach, rinse well with clean water and allow it to dry before further application.
- Ensure all new concrete and cement surfaces are free from any bond breakers, release agents and curing compounds. Allow surfaces time to fully cure before Cosmocoat is applied.
- Ensure all metal substrates are clean and free from any contaminants and rust before further application.
- If a primer, sealer or undercoat is required, Dan’s Paint recommends Cosmocoat 3-in-1 Prep, which is suitable for a wide range of surfaces.
