Dulux is one of the most popular paints in Australia. Why is Dulux so popular?

Well, it is one of the oldest exterior surfaces brands in Australia. They guarantee 10 years against fading. As weather conditions change, surfaces expand and contract. Dulux WeatherShield is specially formulated to expand and contract with the surface so you won’t have to worry about peeling, blistering, or cracking. Weathershield paints also feature strong adhesion, mold, dirt and stain resistance, and self-priming. Self-priming is a particularly handy feature as it means you don’t have to go out and buy a separate primer - saving you time and money! Whether you’re looking for semi-gloss, low-sheen, or matt...WeatherShield has an option for you.

Surface Preparation

Clean all surfaces of dust, loose, flaky paint and surface plaster. Treat efflorescence or mould on masonry or concrete surfaces. Occasionally, solid old paint will become flaky when re-coated, especially if the new paint is darker in colour. To avoid this, check the adhesion of the old paint by cutting an 'X' through a clean area of the film with a sharp knife, press cellulose tape firmly across the cut and tear it off. If the old paint comes off with the tape the old paint should be removed before re-painting.

Clean Up

Clean off equipment with water.
