Quick Guide to Understanding Airless Spray Tips: E.g. 517. 5 is the fan size in inches and is doubled (ie. 10 inches). 17 is the orifice size in thousandths of an inch. So a 517 will spray 10 inches wide through an orifice the size of 17 thousandths of an inch. Using that formula, a 413 tip would spray 8 inches wide through an orifice of 13 thousandths of an inch. Choosing the right tip for the right job is crucial!

Water @ 2000 psi (138 bar, 13.8 MPa) - paints with a higher viscosity will decrease the flow rate

Example: for a tip with a .015 orifice and a 102 mm (4 in) pattern, order LL5215.
Fan width of a spray pattern is measured at 152 mm (6 in) from the surface
