Uni-Pro Plaster Of Paris Molding Plaster Range
Uni-Pro Plaster of Paris is a fine quality plaster suitable for a wide range of casting and creative applications. It is ideal for producing detailed moulds, casts and decorative pieces, and can be sanded, carved and painted once fully cured.
Ideal For:
- Casting
- Moulding
- Modelling
- Sculpting
- Carving
- Mixing
Mixing Instructions:
The strength and hardness of the plaster are directly related to the amount of water used during mixing.
- For maximum strength, use 70ml of water per 100g of plaster.
- Do not exceed 100ml of water per 100g of plaster, as excess water will reduce density and hardness.
- Measure the required plaster and water before mixing.
- Pour the water into a mixing container, ensuring the container is no more than half full.
- Slowly add the plaster to the water while stirring carefully to minimise air bubbles.
- Mix until a smooth, even consistency is achieved. Do not mix for longer than one minute, as the plaster begins to set quickly.
- Pour the mixture into the mould immediately, tapping or vibrating the mould to help release trapped air bubbles.
- Once the plaster has cooled and hardened, carefully remove it from the mould.
- Full hardness is achieved after approximately 24 hours, after which the plaster can be sanded, carved and painted.
Note:
- It is normal for plaster casts and moulds to become warm during the setting process.
